Welcome to my page! I'm Sophy, and i'm a student at Texas A&M University studying Applied Mathematics. I'm passionate about exploring new technologies, and I'm deeply interested in the fields of cybersecurity, system architecture, and networking.

Growing up, my father owned a PC cafe in the Philippines before we immigrated to the United States, and he was one of the few individuals providing access to computers and internet browsing in our province. Looking back at it now, I suppose this is where it all began!

⋆˚࿔ Current Curiosities───

Recently, I've been exploring the capabalities of Linux and homelabbing. I've been running a couple of VM's (virtual machines) to make my life easier, and I want to learn how to automate some everyday processes! For now, I just have a simple DNS blocker (Pi-hole) installed, alongside some other Debian VM's I've yet to initiate, but know I have a couple of things planned.𓂃✍︎

• • Built and managed a self-hosted Proxmox lab on a mini-PC running Debian VMs and containers, including Pi-hole for network-level DNS filtering.
• • Configured internal networking, static IP assignments, and secure inter-service communication, enabling remote access via Tailscale VPN and SSH while protecting virtualized services.

RESTful API with CRUD operations | Application Factory Architecture

• • Implemented a RESTful backend API using Flask and SQLAlchemy with object-oriented models to store and manage user, diary, and food entry data.
• • Created JWT-based authentication and authorization, tested endpoints with Postman, and maintained version control with Git to ensure secure, consistent, and maintainable operations.
